Hacks to obtain a natural makeup look ♥︎

Updated: Jan 4, 2020

In this post, we would like to provide you with a few hacks to better your natural make-up look. Some people find pleasure in doing their makeup and others see it as an obligation to be self-assured when leaving the house. We believe that it doesn't matter at all how someone experiences doing their makeup, as long as they gain a form of satisfaction from it.

Makeup is an art and anyone who wants to create art, can use a few tips on their way to becoming Picasso!

Dial back on the concealer

After too little hours of sleep, feeling weak or just not feeling pretty, it can be very tempting to go 'all-out' with the concealer. Sadly, instead of hiding the undereyes, they'll just become ashy...

To prevent the ashy look, look at yourself in the eyes when applying instead of under your eyes. People tend to focus on the part they are covering with makeup (logic), but it is better to look at the 'full picture' when doing your makeup. People around you look directly into your eyes when engaging in a conversation and not at each imperfection individually. Pease try to remember that and not overdo the concealer.

Ignore the makeup labels

A foundation is for your face. Bronzer is to make you look more tan. Eyeshadow is to be applied on the eyelids. Blush is to give you cheeks a boost. NO. None of these products should only be used how it is implied on the labels. Why not use bronzer and blush as eyeshadow? Why not use eyeshadow as highlighter? All of the makeup products you buy can and should be used multipurpose. There is absolutely no hard in using blush as an eyeshadow. A great way to create a natural effortless makeup look is by applying bronzing powder as an eyeshadow. You are allowed to experiment with your makeup products and discover what fits you best.

'Fluff' your lipstick

When you want to apply lipstick but don't feel like putting on a thick layer and checking whether your lipstick is still perfect during the day, fluff your lipstick. Use a small makeup brush and make it damp, afterwards use the brush to apply a little lipstick on you your lips.

Easy and natural.
